
Cost of Education & Funding
Total cost of education includes Tuition fee, living cost and miscellaneous expenses.
Tuition Fee - The annual tuition fees vary based on the type of University or on the category/level of program. It is generally low for public Universities and higher for private Universities/institutions. In general, the tuition fees ranges between USD 15,000 – USD 40,000 per year (without considering scholarships).
Generally, an average tuition fee of UG program in a public university ranges between USD 10000 - 15000 whereas in private it may cost between USD12000 to USD 25000.
Average tuition fee for a graduate program in a public university is around USD 15000 - 25000 while in private it may cost between
USD 20000 to USD 40000.
Living expenses - Living expenses comprise room rent, food, books, health insurance, mobile/internet bills, travel and other miscellaneous activities. These expenses will vary depending on the city/town where the institution is located. One should have an approximate budget for housing and utilities of around USD 10000 to $18000 per year.
Scholarships/ Funding - Several funding options are available in the form of Graduate Assistantship (GA) like Teaching Assistantship (TA), Research Assistantship (RA) or Fellowships especially for graduate students.
The University also waive off tuition fees partially if they understand that academic grades and SAT/GRE test scores are substantially good enough.
Additionally, international student are allowed to work on campus on a part-time basis for up to 20 hours per week and they are paid on an hourly basis that normally fetches their living expenses.
